Is the pass passable with any vehicle?

TCS lists the pass as open to all vehicles, but the road may be snow-covered. Restrictions still apply to trucks with trailers, articulated vehicles and the Tremola.

The open pass can ease pressure on the A2 tunnel. At the north portal, the seasonal extended Göschenen exit is in operation; since 13 May 2026, the Airolo/Passes CUPRA lane is available when activated by VMZ.
